The Thule SRL system is used when there is no attachment point available for the rear cross bar. It clamps in 2 places on each side using the roof return into the front door opening. The rear cross bar is held in place by an extender bar each side.
This roof rack offers a solution when the only alternative is a permanent riveted system. It gives a strong roof rack able to support a good weight. It is suited to shorter loads and we do not recommend it for long loads like kayaks and ladders where the racks can be subjected to a large amount of leverage from the load.
The cross bars have an aero cross section to reduce drag and noise. The bar incorporates a T-channel for fitting accessories and a rubber buffer strip to cushion the load being carried.
