Thule Tandem Bike Carrier ($995)
Thule seem to have a solution for everything and this one allows you to carry a tandem bike. To use it you will need to have 'square' crossbars (32mmx22mm) often refered to as a 'Euro' style bar. This style of crossbar is used by Thule, Rhino in their 2500 (DS) series and the Prorack P-Bar series. The bike carrier has a rotating fork mount so that the the forks can be attached while the bike's rear wheel is still on the ground. The tandem can then be lifted and rotated to put the rear wheel in the carrying tray. The Tray is a 2 piece construction so that the rear half can be quickly removed to gain access to a lift up tail gate or for using the carrier for conventional bikes.
