Thule 874 Kayak Carrier
Four adjustable rubber support pads keep the kayak stable during transport.
The watercraft is secured to the racks with a pair of tie down straps which incorporate a rubber cover over the buckle to protect the hull.
Cradles can be set in 3 positions from about 45 degrees to flat.
Cradles contour to follow the shape of the hull.
Attaches to the T-Channel on a wide range of roof rack brands.

What Steve thinks......
The Thule 874 is the 'classic' kayak carrier that has helped kayakers safely move their watercraft around for years. It has stood the test of time but it is now a bit of an old design and a poor relation to the newer Thule K-guard. However, if you are Thule fan it does offer an entry level unit for fewer dollars than the K-Guard.
I would recommend buying an extra set of basic tie down straps for securing the ends of your kayak to your vehicle towing points. It is disappointing that these are not included in the kit as the instructions tell to use them.
