The HangOn 9708 is a very popular and economical bike carrying solution for carrying 4 cycles on your car. It uses the secure tow ball attachment method used across the HangOn range which is a simple clamp around a standard 50mm ball using the supplied spanner. The carrier is light in weight and can be folded for storage or for putting the boot of the car.
Carries 4 bikes on all vehicles with a standard towball 50mm towball (subject to towball ball load rating).

Bike frames are held in a soft rubber cradle with flexible restraining strap.

There is not a great deal of choice for putting a good quality 4 bike carrier on a vehicle with a standard towbar (ie: no square hitch). You could use a Thule EuroClassic with an adapter but while this is an awesome set up it will cost over a thousand bucks! The Rhino Rack RBC008 is also a good unit of equivalent price and good quality. We find that in our store these two units are both very popular and the choice usually comes down to an individual's preference for an elegant European design of the Thule or the more heavy duty look to the Rhino Rack unit.
While this bike carrier is ideal for standard towbars where a square hitch mounting bike carrier is not an option, it also a good choice for cars that do have a hitch style towbar. This is because of the ability to use the 9708 on a greater number of vehicles which you may own now or in the future.
