The Thule Xtender 739 ski carrier is a premium large capacity locking ski arm that slides out to make loading and unloading easy. No leaning over the top of a freezing vehicle to put the rear most skis in the carrier. Soft rubber cushions your skis and boards while holding them firmly in place. A large release button adds to the ease of use when using gloved handles.

What Steve thinks.......I love this carrier. The sliding action is a unique feature that really helps loading up the skis and boards. If it's the end of your last day of a week at the snow you want loading your gear back onto the wagon to be as easy as possible. The big buttons and sliding action really helps with this. The Thule quality shines through and this definitely feels like a product that will give years of service. The only places this unit may disappoint is in the load width and height above the vehicle roof. There are carriers that can stand higher off the roof and have a wider opening than the Xtender's 60cm load width. In most cases the dimensions for this carrier are ideal but if you have particularly high bindings or several very wide skis you should look into this.
