Rhino Nautic 571 ($239*)
*Free FreightThe Rhino Nautic 571 is part of the excellent Nautic range from Rhino Racks. This version allows attachment to a wide range of bars that do not have a T-channel in the top of them. The 571 is the cradle set to go with when you want to load your kayak on from the rear of the vehicle. The four cradles gently support your hull while four tie down straps securely restrain your watercraft.
A large 200x75mm surface area of each pad provide great support and grip a wide variety of hull shapes. The pads are UV protected and designed to work in harsh Australian conditions. The front pads are designed to grip the hull while the marine grade felt on the rear cradles allows the hull to slide for loading.
The kit includes everything you need to strap the kayak to your crossbars and also includes an additional pair of long tie down straps to add additional restraint at the bow and stern.
Marine grade, felt lined, rear cradles allow kayak hull to slide.
Front and rear tiw down straps included in kit.

What Steve thinks......
The Rhino Nautic kayak carriers get a thumbs up from me. They are well made and well designed. I know from talking with my contacts at Rhino that they partnered up with kayak manufacturers when developing this product and as a result it ticks all the boxes.
In the roof rack world we bang on a lot about making sure your kayak is not only secured to your roof racks but also tied down at the bow and stern to vehicle tow points. This is very important and therefore I am pleased that Rhino not only promote this practice at every opportunity but also provide an additional set of tie down straps in the box so you have no excuses.
